Question 1

When do you need time critical logistics?

Accepted Answer

When waiting costs more than flying: a production line at a standstill, a surgery date, a trade fair, a ship that cannot leave without a spare part. Every hour counts, and regular freight is simply too slow.

Question 2

How is this different from regular express shipping?

Accepted Answer

Express bundles millions of parcels in a fixed network with sorting hubs. Time critical means: one person, one ticket, your shipment, the most direct route. Every handover is personal, no waiting for the next consolidated flight.

Question 3

How much does an onboard courier transport cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the route, the time window and customs. That is why OBC ONE sends a concrete quote within 15 minutes, around the clock. Asking costs nothing. Several thousand euros are the norm.

Question 4

What can an onboard courier take, and what not?

Accepted Answer

Anything time-critical that can legally travel in hand luggage or a checked suitcase: machine parts, semiconductors, documents, prototypes, medical goods. Dangerous goods and anything excluded by security or customs do not fly.

Question 5

How fast is an onboard courier shipment?

Accepted Answer

As fast as the next suitable flight: in Europe usually within 6 to 8 hours, on long-haul routes usually within 14 to 24 hours.

Question 6

How do you become an onboard courier?

Accepted Answer

Passport, flexibility, reliability, good English. Get in touch directly at jonathankolb.de/en/; Jonathan Kolb gets in touch when OBC ONE is hiring.
